Seasonal Sundays # 181 - Country Living Fair Inspiration

christmas kitchen hood10

Red and green are the traditional colors when we think of Christmas décor but the simple use of white and black can make a striking display.

The Country Living Fair (read more about it HERE) sparked my creativity to complete my Christmas decorating.

christmas kitchen hood02

The hood over my stove provides me with another landscape in which to decorate. I like to keep it on the simple side as it right over open flames…

…but that doesn’t stop me from including a few little details.

christmas kitchen hood06

The centerpiece of my little vignette was this plate purchased at the Country Living Holiday Bazaar.

christmas kitchen hood03

This cute little sign was purchased at the same booth.

christmas kitchen hood08

This noble fellow was procured from another booth that offered vintage items.

christmas kitchen hood09

Couldn’t resist including this Emma Bridgewater mug from our trip to London.

christmas kitchen hood04

A well worn Santa pitcher from when I was young (he used to have color!) finished the scene.

Hope you’re having fun decking your halls!

I think your black and white Christmas display is lovely. It is simple, but has such a great impact, when the pieces are grouped together.
Hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas!

My favorite piece is your love worn Santa. His face speaks of many years of cherished holiday use. My favorite Christmas things are also aged with love. A tiny chip here, a little color lost there, but cherished just the same. Thank you for hosting today's party. I saw a lot of places to go visit in a quick go through of the thumbnails. It will take me days to visit all of the sites that have caught my interest. Have a great week!
