Getting Ready - Seasonal Sundays #200

It’s that time of year. As regular readers of my blog know, each year I volunteer at my school district’s Senior Citizen Tea. I design and set each table. This year we are up to twenty two tables. It’s quite the task to plan, prepare and box all of those tables. Since this is my fourth year doing this, I’m trying to get better at it. I pull the center pieces for each table from many corners of my home. Putting it all away once the tea is finished is a task unto itself. This year, in an effort to make putting it all away easier, I’ve taken photos of where some of it has come from – where and how I’ve displayed it. That way, after the tea, I will have a bit of an assist in putting it all back together. What is the saying, a picture is worth a thousand words.

I store a lot of tea related items in my bedroom in these cabinets. As much as I like arranging things, when it comes to putting stuff away from twenty two tables, I just want to get it away as quickly as possible so I took pictures of how things were arranged to make it easier.

Excellent idea to have a photo record. Sometimes I do that if I'm changing things up. That way, I can always put it back the way I had it if I change my mind. You have some beautiful tea sets. I know this year's tea will be spectacular.

So many pretty dishes! Good idea to take pics of where you are taking your items from! I remember doing an annual Victoria Tea at our church and hauling similar items there and back - you are so right - what a chore to reorganize after! I know your tables will be beautiful and best of luck, in the set up and tear down!
